I bought this rod and reel combo for my vacation. I needed a compact combo for traveling. This set up included everything I needed including a 1.8m retractable rod, a spinning reel, fishing line , an assortment of tackle all in a nice case. The rod is lightweight but sturdy with good action. The reel is the right size and has smooth action. The assortment of tackle included lures, spinners, shots etc. The case had foam padding with individual places for each item. Overall a very nice combo at a good price.
Worked well for my first lake fishing trip. Caught a 18" northern pike and the rod worked well.

WE spend 340 days a year in a semi-truck traveling the lower 48. Space is at a premium and we were looking for a way to keep fishing poles & tackle on the truck with us that wouldn't involve them getting beaten up or broken in the tool box.Haven;t had them out yet, but the storage/carrying case is perfect. Light weight, about a 1.5ft in total length. Opening the case, everything rides perfect without smacking against each other. secure in their own Styrofoam pockets.The rod itself looks easy to extend and shrink back down.Definitely worth the price tag on quality.
