All good...from the seller to the hammock. Daughter loves her new reading hang out spot. Thanks.
All three of my kids age 17-23 have had hammocks for the past 7 years. My oldest son is the resident expert, and was doubtful on the quality of this hammock, and encouraged his sister (17 year old) to go with another brand name. My daughter got it and set it up without a problem right away. The material is super strong- she and two of her friends laid out in it, and it never showed signs of giving. It is lightweight, and easy to pack in its attached bag. My son was so impressed, he actually plans on ordering one too. It is an unbelievable buy for a double size. I would highly recommend this hammock. It was also nice that Wise Owl Outfitters sent an email with helpful hints for hanging. The only thing we may do in addition is buy straps to hang it instead of the ropes. Overall, an excellent buy!
This Hammock was fairly easy to hang (and I suspect will be easier next time) and was incredibly comfortable to relax in. It is small and portable and the additional straps that I added to my purchase were very helpful. I had some trouble tying the knot, but managed to get it all hung in about 15 minutes. I ordered the double and my son and I were both able to fit in comfortably. In fact, my son and his best friend (both 7) were able to get in with me, no problem. My only complaint (and this has NOTHING to do with the company or the hammock) was my color choice. When I chose the hammock, I purchased the crimson, because I liked the way it looked. What I was not aware of, is that this hammock sort of cocoons you in and I found the red to be too bold and intense. I wish that I had chosen a more relaxing color, like green or blue. Just a thought I'd like to mention, if you are deciding on your color- you might want to take that into consideration. Again, that was totally on me, and has nothing to do with the quality of the hammock. Overall, I am incredibly pleased and I suspect I will get a great amount of use out of this hammock.
This was my 4th hammock and it's the best price and value that all the others. This one (Double Wide) is replacing an Eno Double Wide. The Wise hammock seems slightly larger both in width and length but I haven't checked the measurements to compare accurately. The Wise hangs a little lower on the same than the Eno did for the same distance of my poles. Of course you can take up the extra slack by turning more to the side to tighten up how it lays. I really like that part, it gives me more options. The weave of the fabric seems tighter. It was in the rain for a couple of days and was holding water in the bottom, while the Eno never did that. But, I consider that a feature, not a bug. To me it means its stronger. The only negative I've found after a month or so of use is the hammock has seemed to stretch a little leaving me much lower to the ground. That could be good if you're worried about something breaking, you have a lower drop. But for me it means it's really hard to get out of. Because its a double wide the stretch means I'm really down in it. When I get my legs over the side, by butt is really low, almost on the ground with my legs now higher. About the only way I've found to get out is to roll over the edge to the ground and then stand up. If my poles were further apart it would help but for now its what it is.Besides that, I do like the hammock, seems to be good quality and I'm comfortable in it. In fact, I like it so much, I just ordered one of their pillows to go with it.
I love this thing. I weigh 215 pounds and 5 foot 11 I wasn’t sure if my back was going to like it at 43 years old! But it is actually a comfortable position with its tension and sleeping body curve. I normally sleep on my stomach at night but for some reason I don’t see this being an issue and it’s obviously a back sleeping position only, fwiw. A all night sleep will tell all. My 14-year-old son loves this one so it’s his.. I was impressed with the quality and I ordered the double and a bug net they make. Bought a double so maybe I can have a little bit more room to move my arms because I think the single is a little too tight around my shoulders.. can’t wait to try it out. Happy customer.Edit 4-15-2020The double is AWESOME!!!! If you are 140 lb and over then get the double. The single was too tight around the shoulders and wouldn’t fold over and meet properly with my 215 lb frame. The double is perfect in every way. Can’t wait to go camping!
